The FGC and the Smash community are equally autistic and filled with dumb niggers.

Smash is a fighting game. It's just an unconventional one. Is Mario Kart suddenly not a racing game because it uses items and unrealistic physics? Add a health bar, remove items, and add a round format to the matches and Smash suddenly becomes a typical fighter, albeit a simplified one.

People need to stop getting so worked up about this hair splitting shit. I guarantee you that if Smash wasn't as popular as it is, people wouldn't care if it's called a fighting game. Meme on me all you want, but you know I'm right about this.

Please don't try to speak for the pro scene. I don't want to see Smash players at events anymore. I get that they generate interest with an entry level game, but they have no respect for their own hygiene or other people.

The interest people take in Smash doesn't carry over or build interest for other games, and the Smash players don't even like each other. It's not good for me or my sponsors to be in the same location with these guys.

I've had some fun matches in KI at a SF event, all because the FGC gives a shit about building a community. Smash players only care about the version they play, and shit on guys that play a.different version of Smash.

I can get along fine with the GG/BB, MK, SF, MvC, ect. players, but the Smash players will always be shitty towards guys that don't play Smash.

If the Smash guys want to feel welcome, they need to start acting like someone that's tolerable to be around. Please fucking shower more often, and quit stealing people's shit. My fightstick is doesn't cost me anything, but it's worth more than your console, tv, game, and controller combined.

Disregarding the obvious bait nature of OP's post, there is pretty much no good reason for Smash players to get all chummy with the rest of the FGC at this point beyond the rare event where they both happen to be represented. Smash is big enough to have numerous big tournaments dedicated entirely to that one series, something not many other fighting games can manage to the same level. What is there for Smash players to gain from "being accepted into the fold"? The only thing Smash players could possibly want at this point is more open support from Nintendo itself.

Lucina's my best, but I play Bowser and Kirby just as much, and they serve better in some situations. Bowser is overall the most fun for me to play, but some matchups, especially Diddy, just feel overwhelming to me.

Any long-running competitive scene with the same personalities in top level play is going to have hype moments and a sect of fanboys who worship the ground they walk on, this is true for everything that bills itself as a spectator sport.

2. Stop playing this game with your friends. It is a tournament game. Practice on your own and being your skills to tournaments. Nothing wrong with that.
