I stopped using speakers ever since I got a roommate. I just use headphones now.
I'm using a genius 2 speaker plus bass that my parents bought almost 2 decades ago. I am using this thing until it breaks down.

the new productions are hardware accellerated.
they have that feature since 2005.
creative just didnt bother to change the name for that particular product due to its popularity. also open source drivers.
