It kind of is desu. So much running back and forth different modules of the station with loading screens every time you switch over (I've only played the xbox version so I don't know if they're less annoying in the pc version) and I've always found the surface parts very unpleasant. Hell, Peragus is a slog too. Kotor 2 has one of the roughest beginnings of any game I've played, but when it gets good, it GETS GOOD so I always put up with it when I play.

The game randomly picks the style either whenever you're given one as a quest reward, or whenever you otherwise trigger the item generation (so entering the area in the case of a Lightsaber that's in a container) so if you're really unlucky, you can end up with a bunch of the type you don't want. The upside is that if you know where you get Lightsabers, especially from a conversation or quest, it's easy just to savescum for the type you want at least until you have enough to properly outfit your Exile and party.
Nar Shaddaa and Dantooine are probably the easiest planets in that regard.

I think anyone who really likes this game should play through it once. It really is pretty bad. The areas in it are too large and the game lags a lot no matter how New your computer is. There's so much walking in that mod too. But about 5% of it is awesome and is worth putting up with the rest for one single play through. Past that, I would absolutely not play it ever again.

The very start is not bad where you see the unused cutscene + leave the ship. And then the very end is not terrible and is action packed leading up to the cool boss. Then the part with the Jedi is nice because it's cut voice work and not done by fans. The mod is too long and pretty bad, but with a couple of beers and some patience you can play some restored content. I haven't played it in years and I remember it killing the pace of the game terribly + some of the worst voice work I've ever heard, but I don't regret playing it. I'd say it's fair to say 85% of it is torture, 10% of it is tolerable, and 5% is fun

Dude's a monster. One time I was playing a light side run as a guardian and when I met up with him after beating Dantooine, he taught my character ataru as my reward, but when he got to the part where he describes and demonstrates it, he ran over (mid dialogue) to the farmer Sulruu I had recruited for the militia (he ends up standing right by the exit after the battle) and attacked him, and actually KILLED him in the process. The only ways to stop him from killing Sulruu are not recruiting him or simply skipping that bit of dialogue. Craziest shit I've ever seen in that game, didn't expect it at all.

Yeah, Vrook may be a colossal dick, but he deserves his title of Master, because he'll eviscerate any character that isn't straight-up specced for close combat. I remember fighting him as a Sentinel he was capable of killing in a single round, that was a fun time kiting him around the room for half an hour while intermittently taking shots at him with my blasters.
