Who would own the game? All of /v/ can't own an intellectual property. Katawa Shoujo only gets away with it because it's free.

This game never gets made because it's too much work to do for no profit. In order to do each character justice, this project would take a full team months if not years to pull off. A cast of dozens of characters requires hundreds of unique interactions. You can't introduce characters too fast, or none of them feel like full characters in their own right... but if you introduce one character per hour (assuming the player doesn't get distracted) you've got a 60-hour rpg MINIMUM. That's at least 20 hours of music, thousands of drawings and animations, and a novel's worth of writing and editing. That's also thousands of hours of playtesting and bugfixing.
