Metal gear rising's ending was already good, i feel like they would make only a worse game if they decide to go for a sequel.

DMC5 on the other hand would be the best option for Crapcom to get back some faith of it's fans and some cash from the fanboys that have been asking for a true sequel since DmC.

I fucking love both, but DMC is just on another level compared to MGR.

MGR definitiely has growth potential though.

If they revisit MGR's formula, I'd rather them make a Gray Fox game set between Metal Gear 2 & MGS1.

If DMC5 is made, they should make a game with playable Dante, Lucia, Nero, Trish, Vergil, and Lady. Or, make a prequel about Sparda.

Enemies in MGR are even less aggressive than enemies in DMC3/4 though. Not to mention they literally glow before attacking.

DMC3 couldn't handle on-the-fly style switching until a fan made mod of the PC version. Also, DMC4 was almost ten years ago. Hardware is far more advanced nowadays.

You can still dispatch them in a second, which is what I like.
Sure MGR isn't anywhere near DMC4 gameplay wise objectively, I just don't like what DMC ultimately ask you to do.
One game throw a lot of dumb enemies you can quickly kill with a few move or a parry
One game throws on dumb enemy with bloated HP
Pick your poison (or pick an actual good action game)

The "punching bag" meme is quite possibly one of the most stupid and uninformed ideas /v/ has ever managed to cook up. Enemies in DMC will constantly gang up on you and will hinder you from stunlocking a single foe. The whole "punching bag" thing was something Ninja Gaiden fans started to get a rise out of DMC fans, its not that DMC doesn't have idle enemies, its that Ninja Gaiden has insanely aggressive ones. DMC and NG are different, having enemies constantly dodge and break out of combos is a fucking terrible idea for a game like DMC.

Bayo (1 and 2), MGR, W101, and Nier Automata were all really fun games, though. I think the problem's more that they've become willing to attach their brand to subpar games made by their B or C team.

DMC1, DMC3 and DMC4 are better than MGR. MGR has pretty good soundtrack and enjoyable characters but gameplay is slightly above average.
