Consoles haven't been trying competing with PC in generations. I'm a PC player first and formost. I'd never deny a PC being objectively better for gaming than the switch unless you are going on road trips/traveling.

I will argue however that the switch is OBJECTIVELY a better system than the ps4 and xbone. Especially the pro and Squorpio. The trade-off of graphics for portability is just too high.

The ability to bring my game into the bathroom or even on the bus without having to pause anything has changed the game completely. I have had mine since launch and even still I am amazed when I undock the switch and it imediately transfers to the handheld. It's perfect for anybody who ever wants to play games somewhere other than right infront of their tv.

I dont even own an Xbrick, but if we were being honest they deliver more games at stable 60fps than any Japanese company. PS4 and Nintendo both suffer from horribly inconsistent framerates.

I'd argue that framerate is pretty damn important to the game itself, not only in terms of visuals, but also in terms of how much the players inputs get read in a second, which could very well influence how responsive a game feels.

Me personally, I'd consider the bear minimum of what's acceptable to be a stable 30, with an emphasis on stable. If your game is dropping frames when it is trying to be half of the old standard already, I'd say you should probably shift your attention away from trying to make your game prettier than the console can handle.
