Well, it's more complex that Dark Souls, which is lauded as the greatest ARPG of all times, so there's that. It's still closest to its roots in RTS games due to the skills required (on-the-spot decision-making, short-to-medium scaled strategy decision-making, and a bit of reflexes) with the control scheme also being similar.

Agreed. Dotafags think it's some sort of sort of Glorious Master Race game when it's actually the most braindead shit in the universe once you know what all the items and heroes do, and keeps getting worse every patch because it's developed by the most incompetent and lazy dev team known to man.
Also, I've never seen another game that looked worse and got worse performance after an engine switch. Only thing they improved was load times and that took until 7.00 to do, after which they had already butchered the game's balance so bad it was irredeemable.
