I liked SA2's plot though. Maria was fine and I liked her bond with Shadow. It didn't feel furry pandering like 06 did. Especially since Maria was dead for most of the game and we only saw her in flashbacks.

Say what you want but that game and to a lesser degree Adventure 1 was the last time the series was any interesting. All that weird shit about anthros coexisting with realistic humans and noone ever mentioning it and those incredibly serious stories about mad science, espionage and doomsday prophecies... it was inspired, in an utterly stupid way.

Anything they've done after 06 ist just bland. 06 was terrible but at least the writing kept the batshit insanity of the Adventure games.
