PW3 isn't really any different to other musous, it still uses the same "Square, Square, Triangle" combo system. Dynasty Warriors 2-5 had a consistent gameplay type. Samurai Warriors does too from the first to the most recent. DW6-9 are a mess of inconsistent gameplay.

I am not talking about game modes. But the actual act of hacking and slashing. The way you need to actually try to survive on harder difficulties, by blocking and parrying and selecting items to boost your stats and all that. That shit just isn't found in DW 6 and onward. But Samurai Warriors managed to keep it going. Here is a big hope DW 9 brings back that type of gameplay as I somewhat prefer DW characters and setting.

I tried SW4 on the PC. Controls were fucked either keyboard or controller. If your gonna play a warriors game on the PC, go with DW far better. Plus character creation between SW4,4-2, and 4 Empires can be transferred between the games, plus all Dlc for weapons, character/horse costumes, and outfits for CAW characters are transferable between all three games.

I prefer subbed actually, since the dub is usually either a hit or a miss. At least with the Japanese voices, I can believe the tone of voice even if I can't understand it.

However, I wouldn't mind a dub if it has dual audio in case the english voices do turn out to be shit.

That would be fine except that the Japanese voices are all boring and monotone and don't fit the characters at all, or sound ridiculous and don't fit in the case of Guo Huai. I was completely shocked when SW4's voices were actually overall solid. Pretty sure they were always dual audio before they stopped dubbing the side games though, but that goes both ways.
