Every setting after II has been garbage, and I was disappointed when I heard II was going to be set in renaissance italy because I loved the Crusade era Levant so much and wanted the next setting to be exotic as well, preferably something even more ancient. After a truly awful experience which I finished today because the bf found my suffering entertaining all the way through I beat the final boss by pressing literally nothing but X to spam throwing knives and then complete the qte button spam

Climbing buildings has NEVER been a difficult part of the gameplay. The only time it was even an obstacle was before you got the climbing jump in AC2. The grapple eliminated the slow, boring, and tedious climbing back up a building after you needed to do something on the ground.

I kept off the internet at the time to avoid spoilers. I got the Gold Edition or something that had the season pass included and was giddy as fuck.
