If Goro had met Joker even a year earlier he wouldn't have gone completely off the deep-end.

His entire boss fight was wasted because it wasn't Joker vs Goro while the rest of the PT take on enraged Shadows. Every time Joker knocks Goro down and gets a Hold Up, Joker asks Goro questions.
Like-wise if Goro knocks Joker down he does the same under the Hostage sequence.

Not saying save him, but it would have been so much better than what we got.
