Beth lore is stupid but it's just slightly glued together. The glue is you. Bethesda likes a chosen one story where a single player decides the fate of the map. Imagine what would happen if you went Railroad to stop the institute but 2 of your friends went Institute and finished the quest first and basically shut down the game. Or if they neutered the consequences thus turning it into WoW. What if you're exploring a ruin of slocum joe's or something that's supposed to be spooky and atmospheric and there's 20 jack-offs shitposting in the building?

If you want to do multiplayer without shitting up a franchise and wasting Beth's resources so we have to wait EVEN LONGER for a real Elder Scrolls, wish for Timesplitters 4 instead. Fucking normie.
