I played it with a 670 and very outdated drivers, the second patch made the game perfectly playable for me with almost all on ultra. Not constant 60fps but that was to be expected, the only problem was big framerate drops in maps with lots of wate when looking at the ocean.

Maybe the second patch came later that I remember though but it didn't seem like a month.

Third instalment? D2 won't even get a DLC. Although fans keep comparing sales to the first game, publishers expect a certain % increase in sales for a sequel, and if that's not met, it doesn't bode well for future profitability. As it is, D2 barely meets the sales of the first game. A third game is not going to happen, period.

A developer's take on it might simply be that by shoving it on your face you are forced to adapt to it and not be shocked or tantalized by the sight, or consider it an oddity made for pandering, as you very well should for a long while now.

It's not so difficult.

Dishonored 2 was legit one of the best games I played last year. I know that's not saying much since 2016 wasn't a great year, but I felt like it really flew under the radar considering how great it was.

Arkane is honestly one of the best modern devs, I wish they'd do a Fallout game once Bethesda is done raping it's corpse.

In all honesty, I don't think Arkane would do an open world game very well. Their games are great when it's level-based since their talent lies in great level design that accommodates a lot of different playstyles and this really shone in D2. I don't think they'd be able to make levels or locales even half as great as their levels are now if they went for an open world game. And let's be honest, if anyone makes a Fallout game from now on, it must be open world.

I'm going to sound like a disparaging and pretentious asshole when I say this, but I think it might be because these sorts of games are catered towards people that generally play vidya a bunch and are willing to experiment+explore, rather than the crowd that typically just plays rather straightforward games (mass market AAA games and such). Those people might not find these games very appealing since they're not used to thinking outside the box and would rather just bruteforce their way through, which is rarely the most fun way to play.

Tyvian prison transfer gone wrong.

You play as an Ageing Billie lurk on her quest to find Daud again, after finding out he's been in one of the Tyvian Gulags for about a decade now.

You get yourself arrested for smuggling, using bribes to get yourself sentenced to the same Gulag - along with supplies.

Instead, you get caught out, someone was on to you, they know who you are.
You thought the ship would take you to a northern port, closer to the Gulag, but instead you've been exiled to pandyssia.

With a crew of 9-10 other exiles, you must survive and find a way off the island, and finally, back to Daud.

However, it won't be easy, because the most useful members of your crew, a sailor, a natural philosopher and a nautical engineer have all been taken by a cult-like tribe.

You must utilise guerrilla warfare and make your way through encampments along the island with the help of the outsider, and him giving you something you forgot how to use, supernatural powers.

This is also more of an opportunity to add outsider lore.

You eventually leave the island, with the final mission being infiltrating the Gulag and finding Daud.

It ends there, without letting you find about if they escaped.

Because that's lore for Dishonoured 4.

We are never going to get a narrative comparable to the original Deus Ex ever again. If we can get away with the same excellent level design and improved gameplay while getting a story that only emulates its B-list stupidity, I'd say we are doing alright.
