It's mashy. But it's very visually appealing, and there are systems in place that make it feel good and fun. Set it to at least moderate tho, normal is far too easy.

It's horribly explained. Each orb has a set value for physical and magical attacks. The idea is to wear down an enemy with attacks, while conserving orbs, then using the R2 (or whatever it is) to consume the enemy, stealing their orbs for your attacks during the battle. The reality is you'll simply run out of orbs on higher difficulties, and your AI controlled teammates are worthless.

Honestly, I'll say this:

Vesperia is the best of all time. Even if all you can get your hands on is the beta 360 version, it's still a better video game than the rest of the series.

Abyss, Hearts R, Graces f, Xillia 2, and Berseria are probably the best of the 3D games. I don't have anything to say about the 2D ones because I couldn't finish any of them due to me not liking the archaic battle systems in them at all.
