ps1 was horrendous for 3d plattaforming, it didn't have the power of the n64 to even match banjo kazooie, conker or even dk 64.

It's a polished game but the actual gameplay was weaker. The original is almost all straight action and platforming, the second is largely random bullshit like babysitting turtles or collecting light bulbs for Spongebob. Kinda like Banjo-Tooie compared to Kazooie.

The bosses were fucking amazing compared to 1, though. Night and day.

Spyro 1 had the best, most memorable music and a unique vibe to it.
Spyro 2 had the most nostalgia to me.
Spyro 3 felt the most fun.
