I don't want a Bloodborne 2. Continuing Dark Souls for two sequels was clearly a mistake. Miyazaki seems to be at his best when creating an entirely new setting rather than building off of what by all accounts was already a complete vision.

They're alright mechanically, that's the one thing Dark had over Demon's, it was better polished and worked better mechanically even if the world and the story were trash in comparison.

But Bloodborne changed that entirely. It is for all intents and purposes, Demon's Souls 2, eclipsing the dark souls games entirely. Not perfect of course, but definitely much better than Dark Souls, and at least they haven't had time to ruin the lore and retcon shit with sequels.

At the very least it was intended to take place in the same world from very early on in development.
It's a new direction but not an entirely new setting.

Id like it if Bloodborne got a standalone expansion rather than a sequel. Bloodborne was a fully realized vision, so I doubt that Miyazaki would have any groundbreaking changes to the formula that people expect from a sequel. A standalone expansion, however, has no need to change core gameplay, and has the freedom to do whatever the fuck it wants.

Really getting a bit burnt out on Souls and Souls-likes by now. It's all they've done for like 4 years now.

I don't think Bloodborne's story needs a sequel. But I'm up for more beast slaying in a Victorian England setting. Maybe it could be more of a spiritual successor, like Dark Souls is to Demon's Souls. Maybe some cameos, like a mention of a great one called The Hunter.
