What did /v/ think of this game?
Personally, I like it. I played it on my Vita, and I think it works really well as a handheld game. I've beaten 3/4 of the main bosses. The game isn't too hard, and it's nice that every time you die, you play as a completely different character. The game has nice art style too.

I'm really fucking bad at it.
>>377085836
If you like grinding, it's good.
>>377085836
Loved it, played the shit out of it on PC with a gamepad.
I liked it a lot, but the difficulty sometimes were so off in both directions. Maybe they have patched it since roughly around release when I played it.

Same here, I finished it two times. It was pretty fun. Hokage best boy.

All these indie games are called "roguelike" but is there a game just called "Rogue?"
srs question
it's a fucking great game
i really like the dev's sense of humor, all the stained glass in the castle is shitty ms paint line art
great idea gone to waste imo, make it bigger and add more
also sick of 90% of games having cartoony artsyle lately
>>377086445
Yes
>>377086445
Yes, that's where the name comes from. It's not very good though
It's good but be careful when you do new game plus. Don't do it too son
First try to beat every single room with just 1 character without dying.
Then give him a difficulty+ rune and do it again.
Then increase the difficulty again.
And finally for a third time.
If you can beat everything with 3 difficulty runes without dying, THEN you are ready for a new game plus.
>>377085836
>completely different character
>they're all the same character just with random traits
I was super bummed when i realized there were no other weapons, or sprites.
>>377086660
Neither are most so-called roguelikes.
>>377086829
That would have been nice yeah, but all the classes do have some unique special ability, along with different stats
Any tips on how to beat this guy?
>>377088083
forgot the pic

Spellsword w/ flame circle and fuckload of mana.
Really fucking loved this game. I wish they would have made a sequel.
>>377085836
its fucking garbage. shitty levels, shitty items, shitty core gameplay, permanent upgrades changes the focus from adapting to grinding, next to no variety means it takes 3 runs before it starts feeling like the same shit. The only reason people even know it's name because it was lucky enough to have been released during a time before every dev started making roguelites.
>>377088387
I'm not sure how a sequel would work, but I'm not against it
>>377088526
>making bait this obvious
>>377090294
>I disagree but have no counterpoints so I'll call it bait.
you did it, you won, the honor of your favorite game is saved
>>377085836
I liked it at first but the forced grinding and repetitiveness of it all got old real quick. One of the many games that made me realize that procedural generation was a mistake.
>>377090541
counterpoints? All you did call everything shit but you didn't even explain why everything is shitty. Wow such great arguments.
Sadly, this is another Bloodborne ripoff.
Stop.
>>377090785
There's no other word to describe their quality.
>>377091024
Correct, if you're retarded
>>377091092
If I was retarded I'd probably like rogue legacy though
>>377091330
I don't get why you hate it so much.
It is a fine mix of platformer, action RPG and RNG dungeon crawler.
Wanting to get that next upgrade and grab as much coins as possible is addictive as fuck.
Good game that spawned a thousand shittier Roguelites.
