Honestly that's a lot more impressive than most enemy dialogue nowadays, which is all some variation of "HE'S OVER THERE" or "I FOUND HIM"
Having specific reactions to what the player is doing (they have tons of voice clips, like ones for flanking, grenade tossing, flashlight usage, hearing reloading, supressing fire, and slow-mo usage) makes the combat feel more dynamic and intuitive especially in the case of FEAR, which also makes use of lots of dynamic lighting effects and particle effects
TLDR: it's fucking fun, shut up nerd

You are now aware of two things:
1) the slow-mo effect is the same eye symbol that makes up the games .exe file imagw
2) FEAR is actually really similar to anime, and can be accurately described as a horror-action anime made by a western team
<make best AI in FPS game ever
^make the entire game run in slow motion so enemies have 0 opportunity to use it

The enemy's instant verbal reactions to what you do WAS pretty fucking incredible at the time... And it's seldom emulated to this day.
Also, all that fucking gun smoke/sparks/dust/flying paper.
