They literally just made Saint's Row without any of the things that make Saint's Row appealing. It's like a singleplayer blunderborn.

What sells more consoles, sequels or original IPs? I'm just thinking (read: grasping at straws) about how well consoles seem to be selling titles. Even HZD even pulled 2.5+ mil, which is a lot, but seems pretty meager against 50-60 mil consoles. I wonder if there's a problem with devs trying to appeal to the already existing fanbase but trying and failing to attract people that might own a console but don't play a lot of games. Prey seems like a weird case of not being appealing to much of anyone, especially when it seems like the kind of game more people will get caught up in watching an LP of when reading more about it.

isn't this just Saints Row without the Saints? If they ever make a new Sequel for Saints Row I hope they continue it from the Retcon Ending from Gat Outta Hell so we can cut all the stupid "wacky lolrandumb" crap the series has been since 3. I want a straight forward doesn't take itself to seriously sandbox crime main game that has some goofy side missions.

Zero hype whatsoever, no loud reviews (except that one retarded 4) or any disturbance in social media. Plus videos they've showcased pre-release accurately represent what's happening in the game. Slow-paced space station exploration with horror and shooter elements. No artificial hype, missed goals and unkept promises.

I'm loving it, so far it might just be my favorite release of the year. Except the story goes kinda dumb and way too generic after a really cool intro. If the ending is up to standards, then NieR will have serious competition for my personal goty
