I think the most spooked I've ever been in a videogame was when I heard the Poison Headcrab sound in Half Life 2

It's kind of funny, because really poison headcrabs logically aren't THAT dangerous of enemies, really. Just something about them puts me on edge

That fucking pirate door that doesn't open in Lego Island. I'd literally dream about that shit. Fuck you.

Clock Tower. The atmosphere in the first level is much more chilling than the other levels. The library as well.

Seems they were still on the Bloodborne kick when they designed this part of the boss. I'm kind of glad they took it out, it wouldn't feel very dark souls unless they had some lore to back it up. I do wish they had more lore about Ocelotte though, I'd like to know what the deal is with this one-off boss who is completely unrelated to anything going on in the entire game besides the fact that in the past he was the king of the place you're fighting him at.

This is gonna sound stupid but Krusty's Funhouse on mega drive. Something really eerie about the quiet empty atmosphere and the fact you spend the game figuring out how to murder small animals. I've played scarier obviously, but that game still leaves an unpleasant taste in my mouth.
