Your regular jump has I-frames at the start of the jump, dont roll for the scissors guy or his bullshit tracking will kill you anyway.

Helm breaker does more damage the longer you drop from the air, so try to get him close to the ground, then wall-jump and helm breaker on his face.

Ebony & Ivory are actually pretty crap compared to other gubs, get used to using the shotgun in your combos as it helps you manage packs of enemies alot.

The original Devil May Cry is a genuinely hard game, with no bullshit like in Dark Souls where there's skeletons waiting to flurry around every corner with no warning.

They are extremely piss easy to loop, even easier in Sigma since some of their attacks that used to break guard don't in Sigma meaning you could chain/spam counters.
Only time they are even slightly hard is when you fight more than two due to their fireball/meteor shit.

Here's a tip: utilize dodge offset cancelling. Like, a LOT. It's pretty much the only really safe way to attack them. Get a lot of finishers and dodge their attacks so that you get a lot of magic orbs, then use a lot of Tatsuzankos and Heel Stomps. Assuming you don't have the Bracelets of Time, use the accessory that creates bombs whenever you dodge, which can gradually chip down their health. Moon of Malaa-Kala would probably help too.

E & I are genuinely good though??? They fire fast, can be used to temporarily propel yourself and your enemies, and can be used to prolong the style meter. I find their fast fire rate especially useful against the Shadows.
