the localization is absolutely all over the place and shit
at times the story/character motivations straight up don't make sense or go unexplained
but I still love the game and the characters, I'd be happy if we even got a remake for the 3DS that just fixed the fucked translation

motherfucking Seventh Cross Evolution
>level up system based on some kind of batshit neural network that's impossible to understand

>alternate ending has the humans build a church around your dead body and pray to you like a god

Hardly. Talk to any shmup/retro-fag about it and/or Treasure and you'll get a tirade about how it's so ridiculously popular especially given the fact it never released stateside. It was like one of the few games worth getting a Saturn for.
