Every chapter story is directly linked to the main plot. Compare that to CS1 where the hours you spend crawling through the old schoolhouse are entirely filler since they have no plot relevance until the epilogue, or CS2 which is just gathering party members in Act 1 with only a few actual plot developments, and playing Crash Bandicoot in Act 2 with one major plot advancement.

It's a real pain keeping all the character's quartz upgraded in 3rd. I'm constantly having to grind poms and once I just get my current team up to date I unlock another tier like ten minutes later.
Combine that with some of the cool gear enemies can drop and I'm spending way to long grinding.

Not that guy but the events of FC all leading up to the finale is still pretty similar to CS trying to incorporate the mystery of the old schoolhouse and what's at its bottom. Both pay off at the end, so the comment is not completely wrong.

What I will say though is that FC's integration of its adventure is a hell of a lot more well done and engaging. I however did enjoy CS1's cliffhanger a lot more than FC's.
