I tried watching this in English, and i just could not. The dub is so god awful that watching it in its original language just doesn't make me forget the English one.

Tried watching the show, but I got bored as fuck. I did like the characters though, especially the red headed dude with the demon sword.

I played dofus long enough to know Ankama has no idea what they're doing in terms of combat balancing, pve variety or pvp fun.

The only good thing about dofus was its economy, and they fucked that up in Wakfu

How does Ankama keep getting their games funded? They're all beautiful looking but completely wasted potential with godawful interfaces and combat. Every game ends up dead within a year. Even their console game was shitty. Are they funded by the French govenrment or something?

Dofus was/is pretty big in countries where the average computer is a potato, and it still maintains a subscription/freemium model somehow. Wakfu and everything else was a failure though.

I watched the entire first season as it was airing.

I feel like the final fight was way too fucking hype and well executed, and the second season won't live up to it at all, so I never picked it back up.

They could have made a fun action rpg out of it but instead they made autism tactics.

The only reason why I dropped Wakfu was because my level 150+ Eniripsa account got perma banned by Ankama.

2 years after the beta's end, when they started to make retarded changes, not fixing/reworking the classes that needed it and keeping to buff more the OP classes, my biggest disappoinent was the long waited release of the Maskrider(Zobal), wasted potential.
I never really found the appeal of the anime and I lost all interest when they retconned Ogrest's story.
I'm glad I dropped this disapointing piece of shit.

Can someone give me the rundown on them? Are the Eliotropes just an imitation race of the Eliatropes or so? I think Huppermages are unique in that they can use all 4 elements.

Eliotropes are like Eliatropes but way less powerful, sort of an imitation of the theme without fucking the lore. Huppermages use like 3 spells of each element then "light" spells you spend a building resource on. You feel weaker than everyone else for quite a while then start coming into your own later like a true wizard. It's a pretty versatile class otherwise

the first time i played wakfu was as a Cra with two pals.
Cra was so fucking shit to play, enemies largely had time to reach you and i recall i'd just have to keep running away as a bait while my friends terminate the monsters for every encounters.
ranged attacks were just absolutely worthless because it works within the first 2-3 turns you'd just get surrounded by enemies with plenty of movement per turn
i tried to like it but eventually the grind was just taking a toll and i couldn't go any further

Me and a friend watch bad shows as sort of challenge to each other and then talk about how fucking terrible it is.

Wakfu started as the best background noice to build decks and sleeve cards to, then I actually tried watching it and it was fucking horrible. I actually do not comprehend where any of the quality people see in this show is, I get people wanna stick their dick in some thicc but still.

I'm not much of a fan for the story and the magic babble but I love how fully realised the whole world feels. Eliotropes can use portals to move around the map and allies can also go through them but at a damage penalty. Some of their mechanics invole shooting through the portals to get more damage.

Huppermages are a jack of all trades class. They have 4 branches for each of the elements, and using any elemental spell gives them a rune that can activate additional effects and fills a QB gauge they have instead of WP. The last 2 spells of each branch are "light" spells (which is just chromatic damage but with a fancy name) which consume QB but are more powerful than the elemental ones.

A warning, though: Huppermages are awful at low levels because they depend on using multiple spells.

Ouginaks will be playable but they got delayed in Wakfu, no idea when they'll show up.

Latest areas are sub only, but that only matters for lv150+ people. The most common complaint about the game is that Ankama can't make their mind on what direction to take, so there's been a lot of changes and some can fuck up the in-game economy and items people have stocked up on.

It's best you try the game and see if it suits you.

Keep in mind Huppers are actually one of the more complex classes, and they have a really hard time at the start of the game because of how limited you are in spells.

Simplest would be Iop if you want to punch things in the face, Cra if you'd rather be ranged.

Iop has Earth, Fire and Air branches.
Also you no longer give stats to a specific element. All spells are max level now, and each level you get a point to assign in different categories.
For damage, your options are general damage, or specialized damage like melee, ranged, AoE, etc. You get more damage per point assigned in specialized damage, but you have to be careful it suits your spells and playstyle. General damage is safer since it can be used with any spell, but you get less damage per point.

I started playing Dofus about 10 years ago when I was in middle school. I played it for a few years and stopped a little after 2.0 came out. Then I picked up Wakfu when it was available to the public. I played it off and on but the changes they made within the past year made me hate it. I just ended up going back to Dofus about a month ago when the servers all merged into one. I still think having multiple accounts is for fags, but it lets me play something easily while I'm at work.
