Did /v/ ever buy a gun because it was in a videogame?
>>377048939
When I turned 21, I bought a Desert Eagle chambered at .50. It cost me about $1,800. Fucking thing was so impractical. It weighed almost 8 pounds so I couldn't carry it in my pants because it was too heavy. And it was too big to fit in the center console. Sold it after a few weeks when I realized how stupid I was.
It was fun to shoot though. It had pretty tame recoil because the fucker was so damn heavy.
>>377049460
why didn't you just keep it for target shooting? if you want something to carry around it only would have cost you another $300. you're gonna regret selling that thing when you're older.
cringe
>>377049460
>It was fun to shoot though
That's the only thing that matters dummy. You're not a special agent who needs "practical" weapons, lol.
>>377049695
>target shooting
>with .50 AE
What a giant waste of money. He did the right thing, Desert Eagles chambered in .50 are a meme.
>>377050078
I was thinking of getting one as my first handgun, but I realized getting a 1911 would be better.
AK74 was from Insurgency, P226 from playing so much SOCOM back in the day.
>>377050225
TWO meme guns?
shit man
>>377050225
>Getting an outdated, over 100 year old gun would be better.
>>377050225
Almost anything is better than a Deagle. A 1911 is a fine gun.
>>377050078
just because you knocked yourself out the first time you shot one doesn't mean everyone else is a twig armed pussy bitch.
>>377053461
>Moron Labia
>thinking the 1911 is anything but another fancy impractical toy just like the deagle
get a Sig.
>>377053616
That...is a Sig...
>>377053651
no, an actual Sig pistol
>>377048939
>triangular handguard
>fixed stock
>wood furniture

Nigger what
>>377053734
It's literally made by Sig but whatever I know what you mean.
I personally have a Glock 19 (no pics of it) and a S&W Model 13, and a 442 for conceal carry.
>>377053921
1911 ARE meme guns bigger than Deagles because Deagles are known to be ridiculous and silly.
I have a short barrel side by side shotgun, and my love for that stemmed from Doom II and Blood. In fact, I'm pretty sure mine is near-identical to the Blood shotgun.
My love for shotguns in general came from Doom, now that I think about it.
>>377053187
>100 years
Its not like handguns changed that much mechanically.
>>377053187
Why is it outdated?
>>377054674
its popular so autist hates it.
>>377048939
I wanted a mk23 because of MGS, but after shooting it I think I´d prefer a high-end 1911.
I got a cheap Mossberg 500 and went out of my way to get outdated tacstar grips to turn it into DOUK NOUK KEM lookalike
>>377055982
GroovyDuke's was the Winchester 1300 defender, but whatever bruh
>>377055982
Does it fly off your hand? Shotguns with no stock are a punishment.
>>377056131
Not him, but hip fire makes it manageable.
>>377048939
I live in cuckifornia so every gun I'd want to buy is banned.
>>377056131
not at all, the foregrip makes it incredibly easy to control and even to aim, you can keep that shit eyelevel easy without it recoiling back into your face
the issue is that this really punishes the hand holding the foregrip, and of course its tiring to grip it actively instead of letting it rest on your hand
>>377054674
because it's popular.
>>377056306
Is there like a cold version of arizona?
>>377056098
that's why I said lookalike, Winchester doesn't make those any more and the parts are impossible to find, and buying an old one is expensive as fuck
besides the Mossberg looks better and is more reliable :^)
>>377053598
Way to completely miss the point, meathead.
Somewhat related, but my favorite gun is the Ithaca 37, and my love for that stemmed from seeing Aliens.
>>377050078
You can swap barrels for .357 and .44
>>377056676
>the parts are impossible to find, and buying an old one is expensive as fuck
This is a perfectly reasonable response, I just wanted to point it out, y'know?
>the parts are impossible to find, and buying an old one is expensive as fuck
DELET THIS NOW
>>377057925
>besides the Mossberg looks better and is more reliable :^)
This is what the second greentext was supposed to be
brb killing myself to restore honor.
>>377057990
I'll admit the Winchester 1300 looks better in its shorter 18" barrel configuration with its flush magazine tube and muzzle than the Mossberg 500's shorter mag tube to muzzle on the 16". But between the 18" Winnie and 20" barrel Mossie the difference is purely academic.
I would if I could. Why can't the merchant be real?
>>377048939
I bought a pistol grip pump shotgun because of FEAR. To be fair though I was already in the market for a shotgun and I didn't buy a SPAS-12
>>377058345
I think you could do this, but you'd need to get approval from the atf to avoid it being classified as a short barrel rifle.
Poor man's Mossberg 500.
It's a lot of fun.
>>377048939
>>377053873
Were these wooden furniture ARs a thing before NV or is it something Sawyer put together in his free time between German lessons and sucking penises?
>>377058987
What game inspired your purchase?
>>377059014
the very first AR-15s had bakelite furniture that looks vaguely like wood
>>377058873
If you get one with its original stock it's ok.
>>377059228
>bakelite
Those must've been really fragile.
>>377059114
Didn't buy it 100% because it was in a game.
But I remember using it in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
>>377059563
Patrician taste, for both the gun and game. My sxs makes me a bandit by default, even if that's not the reason I got it.
