Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
The "sh2proxy" fix works as a no-cd crack as well, and is included in the pack.
If you use the NEW widescreen fixes mentioned in guide, the sh2proxy's EXE works as no-cd crack too.

In case you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 gets stuck in a black screen upon launch, close it and re-start it again.
You can now see fine emulator settings for SH1 in the guide. You may also try the newer PGXP emulator for wobble-free PS1 graphics.

Play in RELEASE order, preferably multiple times each, never below Normal mode. Avoid spoilers!

You know nothing. SH2-4 are all on PC, and the ports are fine. Some out of the box (SH3), some with a simple drag&drop fan-patches. SH1 is the only one you gotta emulate, as it's a pure PS1 exclusive.

Good thing then that Silent Hill games have SUPERB visuals, audio and atmosphere in general. The gameplay itself is Resident Evil 1-3 style "classic" survival horror, which I assume should not be too much for ya?

This might be a stretch, but Warriors of the Eternal Sun for the Genesis might be up your alley. It's an old-school D&D dungeon crawler with a few wrinkles, but the reason I suggest it is over the course of the game all the townspeople slowly go insane as you proceed through the game.

The port is fine, it just is old and thus partially incompatible with the modern hardware. You'll be hard-pressed to find 15+ year old games that'd run out of the box on modern PCs in general.

The game is 80% shit. It goes from Stephen King vidya into senseless action with the comedic fat guy and the female companion. Once you get your group, any sense of isolation, madness or being lost disappears.

Wasted potential the game.

There's really way too much of the "senseless action". Game isn't even very long but I think it would be better if it cut 1 hour of not-zombie killing. Or if resources were more scarce so that you would have to try avoiding fights more, rather than every single encounter being resolved with guns because why not.
The endgame is also way too long and/or starts way too early. Episodes 5 and 6 both have a very clear goal both mechanically and thematically and it's clear that that is where the story is going to end. Ep5 is fine because it mixes things up, but 6 is just a boring drag after the excellent starting sequence.

I've been rewatching Twin Peaks along with my brother (it's his first time watching it) lately, and by half of the first season he pointed out how much it reminded him of MM's vibe. I think Nintendo mentioned Twin Peaks as an influence for Link's Awakening, but not sure about MM, though it must have been there.

Twin Peaks went to absolute shit when they revealed who Laura's killer was because Lynch was forced by the higher ups to reveal the killer and he didn't want to deal with it anymore.

So 14 episodes later, he comes back for the final episode and takes every single bit of bullshit the other writers spewed out and turned it completely upside down, leaving everyone with an even BIGGER mystery than Laura's killer, what ever happened to Dale Cooper?

Then he made Fire Walk With Me and cemented that he knows exactly what he wants to do with Twin Peaks, and him + Frost should be the only ones to allowed to.
