I'm hyped, but it needs to play more like Rome 1 and Medieval 2.

Mainly, either taking taking out the Villages, either replacing it with the 'Town Contains Everything' from Rome 1 and Medieval 2, or replacing it with 'Buildings Outside of the Town' of Shogun 2. That or bringing back Lordless Armies so I can deal with the randomly spawning enemies that declare war on me the turn they spawn in the most isolated part of my country and start razing everything.

we already know one of the lizardmens campaign mechanics and one of the high elves campaign mechanics.

The Lizardmen have a randomly generated Geomantic web that only the Lizardmen player can see.
As such the Lizardmen have specific regions all over the map that they need to conquer, but no other faction knows which regions those are and they are randomized each time.
So basically lizardmen are completley unpredictable.

High Elves can build up spy networks via trade agreements, pretty much all we know about them.

This is an interesting set of runes though; Clan Pestilens is the foremost Skaven presence in the New World, yet every rune on the logo points towards a more generalist Warlord Clan faction. I imagine it's highly unlikely these runes were chosen at random so perhaps Pestilens isn't taking centre stage as one would expect them to.

The entirety of Clan Pestilens only amounts to six units plus Lord Skrolk, and three of those units (Verminlord Corrupter, Plague Furnace, Plagueclaw Catapult) share massive chunks of their models with their non-Pestilens counterparts. It'd be very easy to include all of those in a more generalised Skaven roster and having them by themselves would be hell on Earth trying to compete with the other factions.

That usually only happens in new entries (Empire and Rome 2), and even then the standalone expansions (which is essentially what TWW2 is) are usually solid. I'm cautiously optimistic that this time around they got most of their fuckups out of the way in TWW.
