I gave S.Camilla raven tome from Cecillia + weapon triangle and green tome breaker, so she one shots most archers and loses her vulnerability to them. My Hector has Swap, and I gave my Julia Shove so he takes her place and she pushes him into people to tank. It works out pretty well. My swords all have Pivot too so that helps.

I have a +Atk/-Res Soren and I'm running Gronnblade+/Darting Blow/G Tomebreaker. He's great. Slightly less speed means he's an "inferior" Nino (and he doesn't run Desperation well), but I prefer him as a character. Even with -Res he takes care of all green and blue mages, including Rienhardt. His defense is already so low before a Def bane that you need to keep him away from physical attacks anyway.

Camilla is a bit hard to use because her stats are TOO balanced. While that probably sounds good on paper, she might have some trouble killing most things on one round. Still, if you're insistent on using her, maybe support B passives, like "Wings of Mercy" or "Drag Back" for finishing off or whittling down an enemy HP so your teammate can follow for the kill.

Keep in mind that her RES is great, so don't be afraid to chase down mages if you can. She's also actually quite fast, but her speed gets hampered due to Brave Axe's speed penalty, putting her in danger of being doubled by said mages, which is why I asked about the weapon she was holding. Nah, my hatred of self-inserts comes from the fact that every single self-insert protagonist is made so the world revolves around them. And this is something I've genuinely come to hate over the years as it keeps taking over franchise after franchise without signs of stopping anytime soon.

To post a few examples, The main character from Fallout 3 is the perfect example. you are the only one who can solve everyone's problems and all your actions get broadcast over the radio to everyone in the capital wasteland thanks to Three Dogg, this is done under the mistaken assumption that "it connects you more with the world" when in reality there is no world to connect yourself to, just a limited set of bland interactions for you to have precisely because the protagonist is a self insert.

Dragon age as a series is also guilty of this, Origins with the Grey Warden being the only one who can save everyone's shit, Dragon Age 2 with Hawke, and I haven't played Inquisition to speak about it, but word around the street is that it doesn't change all that much.

Awakening almost had it right, with Robin simply being another character and another unit in an army full of such, but then immediately begins it's slow descent towards the bullshit mary sue things I've ended up describing until at the end, the plot is once again revolving around the self-insert.

I hate Reinhardt.

I've lost ruined so many Arena runs to that small handed horsefucker. It's gotten to the point where I actually get a sick glee anytime I kill one.

But, after blowing all my orbs on this banner, I still haven't gotten Julia and so I have no good counter him. The best Green units I have are Minerva or Cherche, neither having anywhere enough resistance to do anything.

How does Nino fare against him?

I really like Robin as a character because he splits the main character role with Chrom. Robin doesn't have the charisma to lead the Shepherds, he doesn't make most of the important decisions (Chrom overrules him multiple times through the story) and he isn't the one who recruits everyone.

Chrom brings the Shepherds together, serves as their beacon and is explicitly the same Lord role as the other games. Robin clearly works for Chrom. Still, he's not a blank slate, he's got a pretty likeable upbeat and optimistic personality, he's a little arrogant a few times but almost always backs his words up and, at the end of the day, he's a realist enough to make painful decisions for the army as a whole (eg. In Valm where he sent 1/3 of his army on a hopeless mission to distract Walhart).

Robin is a good character, there's no real problems with him outside the autistic shrieking of older fans that would have hated Awakening so long as it was anything other than a 1:1 remake of FE7 (because that was the best in the series, obviously! It's not only because it was the first one they played! It's not!)

Corrin has the same problems that all of Fates has:

* Mechanically Brilliant. The reclassing options for Corrin take the strength of Robin's design (you can play whatever class you enjoy) and refines it, makes it FAR less overpowered.

* Narratively Weak. Hoshido were the good guys in Fates, there's no question about it, Corrin clearly recognises this and doesn't want to be doing terrible things to good people, he doesn't want to invade Hoshido and betray people who've only ever been kind to him. The players often didn't feel the same.

Plus the plot revolves around him to the point he's practically a black hole. He's a half dragon, he's a Prince of two kingdoms, he's the bearer of a legendary weapons, he's fucking his own cousin etc etc.

Everyone loves him too, his mother (Queen of Hoshido) praises him when he's knee deep in Hoshido corpses.
