To normies it means the company has a lot of money to do what it wants. Which is true given all the dedicated games on the store tailored for the handsets.

I'll be honest, aside from the exclusive shit, I haven't seen them do anything shady. I've had my Rift for nearly a year without needing a facebook account and haven't been restricted in any way.

I tried VR for the first time this weekend. Was actually super impressed...they just need full fledged games for it now
