The closed one are awful in every way and aren't really closed since the leak sound like crazy and are even worse at noise cancelling than your average open headphone. Bought one during the prime week last year at Amazon for 99€ and instantly returned them. They only sound slightly better than their low end models i.e. HD201 for 30 bucks I think. The only reason why one should consider closed headphones is for the isolation/stop leaking sound since open are usually better in every other way like soundstage etc.

The 598CS are worse than my super open Philips SHP9500 in that regard which is ridiculous and a joke. Also, they are Amazon exclusive for a reason. They wanted to get rid of spare parts and thrown together some shit in a hurry.
