I wanted to make some macros and shit so updating it would be easy, and make it so that it backs up my saves automatically in one place despite the games being spread over several paltforms and clean/pirate copies.

Me too. I've been doing it since 2015. It's autistic, but useful. I like remembering the games I've played and think about them months after, to see if my opinion has changed somehow. Otherwise I would probably forget about it. I also use it to pressure myself, to make sure I keep playing new stuff regularly.

I do it similar, but only 1 game at a time. The only exceptions I make are if I'm also playing a game with a friend on the side, or if it's a game that I rarely feel like playing but still want to finish, like The Talos Principle.
But yeah, having the discipline (and sometimes just plain stubbornness) to finish the games you start is very important I think.

I started doing it a few years ago when I was trying to finish 1 game a week (managed 65 that year). I only track the game and how long it took though. These days I try to keep it at 1 game every 2 weeks because a game a week just started to feel like work.

Hm, that does actually seem somewhat smart to do. I have a enormous backlog. At this point, it's rather that there are some games i just complete and some i don't. Really depends. Haven't even touched/barely played dishonored 2 or watch dogs 2, dark souls 3, Nioh, the uncharted collection, and so on.
