go slowly up the walkway to the right, take out the few smaller spiders up there, then aggro the small spider hanging behind the elevated walkway with a pebble. it'll run around and up the stairs and you can deal with it. then drop down off the elevated walkway toward the NPC hunter, and even though the rest of the spiders will lower to the ground, they won't actually aggro, and you're free to walk on out without having to deal with the huge one.

Not really, at least no more then going Speelunking for varients of physical weapons for the optimal Radial, Radial, Triangle shape.

Again, that's not really true. A pure arcane build should have lots of weapons. At least 1 of each element. A fire Saw Spear is one of your most powerful tools, and you can get decent fire gems as soon as you beat BSB.

Wheel, Tonitrus and HMS are all top tier weapons. But they arnt for pure Arc build's, you need a STR/ARC (and SKL for HMS) hybrid build to fully use them.

Pure arc (70-99) relies of gemmed weapons, Kos Parasite and spells. STR/ARC (25/50) replaces spells with 4 extra weapons.

I didn't play it until just recently and didn't intentionally avoid spoilers but still went in with the expectation that I'll be fighting humans, werewolves and occasionally vampires or other fitting monsters but every area had something a little more wacky in it than the next. The insight-stealer by the cathedral, bundled-up snakes and snake people in the woods and the blue antenna-headed spellcasters a bit later, and finally the insects and weird ass antenna centipede by the forest chapel.

There is an obvious strategy. Sneak up and backstab the dude on the stairs and kill him asap preferably with a visceral, the other hunter will come so you need to make sure the first one is dead then just fight the other one head one. The only true, full Great One in the game is the Moon Presence. Amygdalas are lesser creatures, Rom is an ascended human, Ebrietas is an ascended Rom (or an ascended ascended human), Orphan of Kos is a baby that's half-human, and the Celestial Emissary and little mushroom ayyliens are ascended humans.

Make an Arcane build and kill the Orphan of Kos to get the Kos Parasite. To make it actually work as a weapon and get the cauliflower head you must get the Milkweed rune from the bloathead woman in the Research Hall by giving her brain fluid. Pure Arcane is absolutely the way to go but it's the hardest/most complex build because the weapon you want is locked behind the hardest boss in the game and pure ARC is really rough for the first half of the game or so. You also really should spelunk for at least one decent ARC gem to compliment the story ARC gem.

Right behind Ebrietas is what looks like dead Rom with it's back exploded outwards from the inside. Ebrietas also means Butterfly and Rom looks much more like a caterpillar than a spider. Rom is clearly the larval state of a human turned great one while Ebby is the adult version.

Im at Nightmare of Mensis on the base game, all optional bosses killed, the only one i've called for help was Logarius because of his high arcane resistance. Its not that im good (im not) but its like you will eventually defeat them because you will learn their patterns and plan accordingly one way or another.

True, but here is the catch, the game does gives you the tools for making the best of a bad situation.

Clerical Beats can be your first boss and your base stats are fair enough to take care of him, that also applies for Gascoigne.

The next boss should be BSB, and he is weak as hell to fire, and by that point you have the flamesprayer at your disposal, and thanks to the arcane focus you can do a lot of damage to it.

Once killed, Hipogeann Gaol is unlocked, and you can suicide rush for the Tonitrus, another great pick for Arcane builds.

The turning point is when you kill the watchdog on the chalice dungeon, you get the fire gem and with that you can tear through Amelia and pretty much any beast.

The rest is figuring out wich element is best for what.

The cunt of Cainhurst wasn't all that bad fighting fair and square, either. Never even knew about stair/wall cheesing and poison knives were too tough to find/expensive at that point I beat him.
