I've been excited about this game for years

Since then I've developed a terminal disease. I might have a few more years left in me, but my motor functions are impaired. I will never do my Dragnov combos again

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!

If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.

First game i've been hyped for in quite some time. June in general is a crazy month for me, i feel like regressing back to childhood. Tekken 7, Wipeout Remaster, Crash remaster...

It's difficult to compare Tekken with SF because the games are completely different.

Tekken's 'neutral' game is all about movement and whiff punishing. The movement has much higher execution barriers than SF does as well.

because you just point the dpad in different directions and mash the face buttons and you will get strings, its much much better for casual, they always have a blast playing eddy/christie because they are making the character do cool shit. nothing happens in SF when you mash just a few boring normals come out, great.

What do you mean 1 more year? Game is out in 2 weeks.

Also my stick stopped working so i'll probably be messing around in Tekken for a while again. I can wavedash in Tekken fine on pad though it's easier on stick. Besides I mostly just play Jack, Xiayou and Julia, guess since Julia isn't in 7 i'll probably pick up Nina or Asuka.
