School shooter simulators seem too 90's edgy to be controversial. A well executed SJW vs. Alt-right RTS that captured the ideologies well in playstyle would probably fit the bill quite well if what people get angry about on the internet now is any indication.

i would like a game where you played a violent protester at a rally.

However, the game would specifically say you are just in there to cause violence, and before you start you are given a description of both sides of the protest and special points on how to ruin things for either side.

So for example Stage 1 would be a group of people trying to stop people from walking into a free clinic. Stage 2 would go higher and have a rally preventing the demolition of a civil war statue. Stage 3 would be a "Black People Are Important" protest at a freeway.

throwing socks full of batteries at presenters, smashing the heads of guys while hiding behind other protesters, setting off gas grenades or setting things on fire.

All while both sides chant their phrases, there will be a dedicated yell or chant button. You get bonus points for wearing the side's proper colors or using flags, the crowds will behave like crowds and react to your instigations, sometimes positively sometimes negatively.

You can go around and push fuckers into traffic, set off explosives in crowds, anything to just cause problems. As long as its established that you are just a huge fucking edgelord and it isnt pushing a proper agenda i think i'd get a pass.
