Heres how I'd fix your idea:

This is a much more natural progression of power creep from Shield Bearer.

Outright requiring silence or hard removal is never a good thing when many classes have little to no hard removal or Silences.

They have atrociously bad stat-lines for the cost and nothing in the game is so horrid that it warrants running either.
Hell, I don't think Paladin has a single hard removal card outside of Sacred Trial.
Shaman has Hex.
Druid has Naturalize.
You are basically telling these classes "No, you are not viable because of a single unkillable card."
And if you take away its Taunt, then Priests just run Sunfury/Argus.

I suspect that Hearthstone is going to get an Overwatch playset eventually.

All of the Overwatch classes will be legendaries and more minor characters, like omnics, will fill out the rest of the commons, rares, and epics.
