That's hardly even the case though. Persona Q is the only Persona spin off that's actually an rpg so you had 3/4 on the PS2 and 5 on the PS3/PS4. And Q doesn't get discussed in Persona threads so it probably doesn't have social link dating sim stuff. It's an overblown rivalry/outrage topic and probably fake as shit.

If anything Persona fans would be the ones kinda peeved that the game is popular but Atlus dicks around and gives it the paper mario treatment with Dancing All Night and Arena instead of actual Persona games.
