Forza Horizon 3 is great, go for it

The issue is that you get used to Marcus and his meat head bros

Where as his son and friends are more serious

Forza Horizon 3 is a fantastic arcade open world racing game that also has 2 really good expansion packs. It's a 10/10 game without a doubt.

Gears of War 4 has a good multiplayer, but the campaign is pretty average and lackluster. GoW4 has a fun Horde mode, but it suffers from how grindy it is to level up your character's class, how boring the robots are to fight, how bullet spongy some of the enemies are and the quitting problem. Gears of War 4 also has microtransactions and loot crates which I feel sort of ruin things a bit.

I don't know about GoW4 but Forza Horizon 3 is FANTASTIC. It is the absolutely best racing game out there right now.

Horizon 3 is one of the better games this gen unless you can't play racing games for more than 5 minutes without falling asleep for whatever reason.

The PC port is kind of hit or miss though.

The port has been running fine for me, regardless of Hot Wheels patch. It just requires a decent card. But the visuals the game delivers are definitely worth it.

Not OP, but I have some questions about Forza Horizon.

I like racing games, but not "realistic" ones, like the mainline Forza games. How different is Horizon? What do you actually do in it? My understanding is that it's not so much a racing game as it is a driving game.

Is it basically just an open-world Outrun with challenges scattered about?

Horizon is basically a mixture. The car controls and physics are semi-realistic but the game is fairly over the top though not to the degree of Burnout Paradise. Like some of the Horizon events wouldn't be replicated in real life without people dying.

Also, the newest expansion is Trackmania Lite.

Do people actually have issues with this? The AI can be really hard in this game sometimes but the rainy night isn't all that bad. And it's the best (darkest) night I've seen in a racing game so far. It's great!

Pretty good. Single player is decent, multiplayer is excellent. Crossplay with xbone on co-oop/horde/social playlists so finding a match is pretty quick. Ranked crossplay coming later this year (microshit has been talking about bringing kb to xbone so I'm guessing it will coincide with that).
