It's not like megaman games have anything approaching a good story line, but x4 was particularily bad.

Also the fourth armor is trash except for the helmet except the weapons in the game suck ass so even that is bad.
Million year long I frames on bosses when you use weaknesses ruin any incentive of using them even though it resets boss patterns and makes them all cake.

X1 is the best. Every other good X game merely comes close to emulating it.

I don't think I am. Storm Owl and Slash Beast's stage basically just straight lines, making them pretty boring in terms of platforming. Jet Stingray's stage is nice for the variety but it's still not as fun as the regular platforming you do in the other stages. Frost Walrus is a drag in the second half due to having to spend ages breaking those ice blocks, and the Final Weapon stages are too short, often putting you a stone's throw away from the boss door. It's a pretty mixed bag.

The only reason this game even happens is because characters are forced to be morons to make it happen.

Lightning web is clearly not supposed to be used for damage, but you can only have one on screen and it's extremely unreliable to use as a platform.
Might as well be useless outside of item collection.

Soul body is a fucking meme of a weapon. It doesn't work on half the shit you want it too and it's range is so abysmal you're better off mashing buster that close

Aiming laser doesn't even need to be described.

Double Cyclone also doesn't work on half the enemies in the game and forces you to stand still to shoot small projectiles on both sides that might as well be tickling anything they come into contact with. At least the charge shot is good, but you only get 4 of those max.

Rising Fire shoots straight up for minimal damage and might as well not exist outside of upgrade hunts and the sigma fight.

Ground Hunter is just a buster with drop off. Would be completely useless if you couldn't force the shots to drop early. Might be the best weapon in the game, and that's really sad since it's so mediocre.

Frost Tower has no range at all and is a chore to hit anything with. The damage is decent, but if you could get a hit in with it you could have killed the enemy in half the time it took to bother using this piece of shit.

Twin slasher does less damage than uncharged shots.
It doesn't matter how much spread it has if even the popcorn enemies can tank a hit. Just shoot normal shots. They're straight up superior.

Blizzard Wolfang and Ground Scaravich weren't Maverick when she killed them.
Wolfang was disposed of as an "accident" and Ground Scaravich did nothing worse than what Indiana Jones did.
Other scientists salty about Gates work put her up to it, but she still did the deeds.

When you kill them again in X6 they might have been mavericks, but when Alia did it they weren't for sure.
You could argue that Alia is partially responsible for the events of X6 in a way and not be wrong.
