I personally felt BOTW was lackluster becuase it dropped the ball on some on the big moments it was supposed to get right like Zelda games usually do.

The Ganon fight was lackluster and didn't feel like Ganon
The Dragons don't do much aside from dropping collectable's
The bosses are too easy and feel like " Boss 1, Boss 2" type shit with nothing to give them personality.
The """dungeons""" just aren't Zelda dungeons, simple as that.
And although many people harp on the durability it didn't feel like much of a problem.

I'd give the game a 7.5. I liked it but I really can't see what the hype is about.

I've played all Zeldas including all the 2D ones and the shitty DS games. I can tell you that BOTW is probably the best game. OOT was the most influential. MM is still my fave though, BOTW and WW are tied for second.
