Different person, but Xander's a pretty solid investment. Free distant counter, pretty specialized stats, cavalier, only real competition for red horses are Eliwood (completely different role) and Eldigan (practically a clone, but no free DC).

He does fantastic against physical reds and greens with his huge def, is a super simple check against Takumi/Kagero, and will survive a hit from green mages and counterattack.
