Reminder Kojima is completely at fault for TPP.
Had more time compared to even the biggest AAA devs.
Had a budget rivaling the biggest AAA devs.
Full fan support, talented dev team, company doing what it could to support.

Rather Kojima just wanted to fuck around and be a celebrity. He probably wasted most of the budget just getting keef (literally only because he loved 24, real legit reason there) and his waifu joost. The fucking cutscenes had been done YEARS before the game was out, it's clear he had more fun making cool trailers than actually making them cohesive in game. Kojima took so long as spent so much Konami needed GZ just to recoup some of the budget back.

All said and done, Kojima leaves only to do the exact same thing at Sony now while wasting fuck loads of money doing nothing, and being a celeb. Again he hired mad because he loved Hannibal. He spent over a year flying around to all the different devs just to figure out the game engine they will use (yet already 2 fucking trailers, clear he enjoys doing that more).

Fuck I was the biggest MGS fan, but fuck Kojima. If death ends up being amazing, I'll pick it up at 20 bucks, but I don't trust him.

Also TPP still a good game, but with obvious problems mainly being the story and not being complete.

the game was a really really dumb way to end the series, because the game answers no questions we always wanted to know, it makes new questions and answers those, making the game strangely compartmentalized.

its not even close as good as Peace Walker, and served to just depress you about the fate of the characters presented therein and actually make you dislike certain characters even more.

except Ocelot, who is the only one to come out of this game much like he came into it, the real hero of the entire series and a lovable bastard.

The hell did big boss wanted again? I thought it was perpetual war so his soldiers would always have a place like in mgs4 but without machines pulling the strings. But every game afterwards show him more heroic than the last so now i'm not so sure.

Here's what I think will happen:
>Death Stranding is so bad, that even video game journalists will hate it.
>Kojima is bullied out of the industry
>He finally grows some humility, and decides to make a real game without spending 40% of the budget on Hollywood actors and song licenses.
>That game turns out to be good.

seriously a simple retcon could put him back into the game, it's not like MGS characters are meant to stay dead, even the poor fuck of solidus was kept alive in a horrible way
don't forget that there's still the gap between mgs1 and mgs2 and mgs4, they could easily revive venom and make him fight with philantropy

That and since his key writer left after MGS3, he desperately needs an editor/decent writer. I respect the hell out of his earlier work apart from Metal Gear like Snatcher, but in recent years he needs to tone down the pretentiousness.
