This is the power of PlayStation emulation.

What shaders? I saw something similar that looked pretty good a couple of weeks ago.

kill yourself
>>376962281
Are you implying the left looks better?
>>376960458
Oh shit, is that Silent Bomber?
>>376962281
Why not use PGXP?
>>376960458
Nice geometry
Nice texture work
Nice shading and lighting
Nice color grading
>>376962446
absolutely
upscaling and removing dithering just exposes how shit it really looks
>>376962638
Cool. Just making sure I wasn't laughing at how retarded you are mistakenly.
>>376962692
creators intent
>>376962963
Is enhanced by resolution increases. Objectively.
>>376963220
the creators never intended these games to be upscaled
they were well aware of what they were working with and designed the game with that in mind
>>376963664
how do you know did you work with them
>>376963765
>>376963664
>the creators never intended these games to be upscaled
They never intended them to be at any set resolution. They're just artists and hardware limits how well we view their work.
Fucking mong.

>make/draw/create something great on your PC
>transfer it to dev kit
>framerate drops
>boss says your gonna have to scale it back a bit
Wow we should never change anything, the developer intended for the lamp post in that pole to have the connector between the light and post go invisible due to resolution restraights, it was specifically part of his vision, one day he was laying in bed and said to himself "aha, I have it, what we need is a game where a lamppost connector becomes not visable on the screen when you move away because the polygons are too small to be rendered by the pixels on our television".
Fucking idiot.
Only a tiny minority of devs actually took in things like that and only when pushing the hardware to the fucking limits and doing very specific things. And they'd probably be glad to get rid of those restraints int he first place.
>>376960458
Name of the game? Dont recognize it.
>>376964814
It doesn't work that way anon they knew the limitations and the bad hardware but they sucked it up and choose psx instead of n64 because if that's the case then they should've put it on the n64 and save them from the dithering and doohickey
What is the "patrician" way to emulate PSX on PC?
Correct emulator.
Correct plugin.
Correct shaders and filters.
>>376965043
>it was the artists intent to have dithering in the game when they chose PS1 over N64, not the PS1's massive install base, and not say they could avoid competing with Nintendo games on the N64.
>>376965150
Mednafen.
Looks like shit, why don't you buy some new games poorfag

man, if you had only seen the middle shot there then later found out the sorrow was supposed to be there it'd be pretty spooky
this is how they really intended it

exactly what PC ports do.
