F3 is more zany because it's poorly put together and has you navigate and solve problems in ways that should be serious but come off looking like a cartoon. It's the kind of zany brought on by poorly handling your writing - deaf serious subjects become inadvertently lampooned under the writing of the game.

I'm not even a normie and I never played FNV, despite having played 3 multiple times. FONV kind've just flew under the radar for a lot of people desu, then add in how buggy it was at launch and that probably turned off even more people.

I know the narrative of this thread is how much more le enlightened we are than normies, but for how bad fo3 was it was still the only reason fallout came back to life, there's a reason it gets all the attention

This happens with artists of every medium. Happens with music all the time.

An artist can work their ass off on something, work harder than they've ever worked in their life, and it can be a commercial flop, while that last thing they did continues to be praised and receiving every award possible.

And it's not just about effort. Artists' personal tastes could be totally different from public opinion, and sometime it's hard to understand that. You love this one thing you did so much better, but the rest of the world can't be wrong can they? What gives?

Why even bother with 4. Its a mediocre shooter, where you collect new suits of armor and do shitty town building.

If you want to play a new shooter, skip it there are far better options.
If you want to play something with crafting/town building, skip it there are better options.
If you just want to collect suits of power armor...then play FO3 or NV and grab them there.
