The devs could have probably fought for the right to use the name, but as the original game was a free release and the devs had literally no money they just went along with it and changed the name. Been considering picking up the remake of the game, enjoyed the original even though jumpscares bug me a bunch as I'm pretty twitchy to begin with. Game overall just feels charming for what it is.
