Why did EA kill Spore?

Most likely because it was a half-finished mess that would never be released at all unless they cut half the features out.

Does anyone now similar games?
This game was my favourite when I was little I wish its developers cared about it more.

none that would do all five eras

countless space sims/traders/city builders out there for the obvious stuff

but for the unique eras,
flow for cell
and keflings felt like a good expansion of the tribal era

I love the creature creator. Shame you can only use those designs after based creature stage.

They didn't, Spore's failings was 100% internal issues at maxis.
