What is a good build for night elf? As Orc I have managed to win most games with Blademaster, Spirit Walkers and Taurens. As Undead I win most games with Death Knight, Lich and a mix of cryptfiends and destroyers. I have no idea what to build as night elf except demon hunter.

Pretty much, as night elf and orc I try to expand to pretty much every goldmine on the map and then just let them poke at me while I wear them down. As Undead I usually try and fortify a gold mine position close to the middle of the map that they will always try and attack and just build defenses and put my army there.

I added my old CD key to my battle net account a long while ago and didn't touch the game for like 10 years until a few weeks ago. Played through the campaign and it was as good as I remember. Currently playing in ladder and trying to get a feel for each race. I'm getting my ass handed to me almost every game but I'm slowly getting better and I'm matched with opponents who aren't that much better than me, I would dare to say they are around my own skill level. Most of the people I've asked have said they have only been playing the game for a couple of weeks or months. I think that is a pretty fucking good sign for a game that is over 10 years old. It's pretty damn cool that it has a healthy population and eople playing both matchmaking and custom games on a regular basis. It's not like Quake Live where only the autists that's been playing for decades still play and new players are instantly destroyed and then leave forever.

Starcraft Remastered looks pretty alright. Support for high resolutions and the updated sprites, sounds and cinematics + proper matchmaking and ladder is enough to make me consider it. Forget it however if it comes with a 60 dollar price tag. I wouldn't buy a remastered WC3 because the game honestly doesn't need it. As undead, the only heroes you should honestly bother with is Death Knight and Lich. Death Knight should always be first since he is the best hero the undeads have, his death coil is amazing. Lich is always a safe second pick. I got kinda bored with undead since you are pretty much forced to go with the same heroes every game. Same with orcs and blademaster.

metzen hasn't worked on warcraft lore since Wrath of the Lich king, and they did a complete 180 on their lore and development in WoD. So no, Metzen has had nothing to do with the lore for quite some time. He was doing art/ working on Overwatch/Titan with Tigole and the old WoW staff. Blizz likes to act like they're masterminds or some shit, and everything is going according to plan, but in all honestly ever since WoD it feels like they've been making it up as they go due to "lack of resources." This is fairly obvious, because a lot of shit that was supposed to happen lore wise in WoD just got the axe and they had to do an asspull to make up for shit development. Go play the stuff from WoD or read about it, because it is complete bullshit and makes no fucking sense at all. All of the zones other than Tanaan in WoD are pretty cool and well written other than like Gorgrond, but what happens in post-launch lore will make you want to vomit.
There's honestly so much shit in WoD lore wise that makes no sense at all that I couldn't even list it in this post.

He is a true hero of the Alliance and I'll tell you why.

Mild racism in the world of WARcraft is not even a minimal offense. Especially when it's sprung by a terrible tragedy and betrayal of the elves (loss of his wife and children when the elves could have saved them).
In fact, in terms of racism he'd still be considered far-left hippy in ethnocentric night elf society.

The fact of the matter is, right when everything he knew was collapsing, right in the middle of an alien-demonic invasion destroyed the human kingdoms, right when your beloved rise after death to kill you, there came one man, one brave man, who took charge, placed the heavy mantle of leadership upon himself, and mounted an organized defense for the survival of his species, against all odds and against terrors no human eyes should have ever laid eyes on.

You can't even say he was some noble hiding in a keep barking orders to commoners. He rode on a charger and fought on the front lines shoulder to shoulder with his subordinates with no fear for his life, serving as an example to all in the field.

He's an antihero to me. He definitely had courage, but he was imperfect because he was wronged and moved by a personal tragedy. He was also inexperienced for the burden on his shoulders. All of his superiors were killed and he was promoted beyond his years of service.

Garithos was right to mistrust the Naga, and Kael'thas disobeyed direct orders. Kael'thas didn't have to defeat the undead, merely fall back and send a messenger. Garithos came back in time to see the Naga leave, so with the messenger he could have arrived even earlier. A timed defense mission like in the human campaign. Kael'thas made his choice and lived with the consequences. The Naga played them both.

I wouldn't be surprised if acti-blizz censors the shit out of custom maps which kind of defeats the purpose of player made content.

Never. They haven't even added Kel'thuzad yet, they just keep on forcing those shitty insufferable Overwatch characters and other literal whos. And I'm pretty sure Garithos is too "offensive" for the average modern day Blizzard fan to stomach.

Ive never been good at the multiplayer but man WC3s campaigns really are some solid fun, I play through them every now and again and its just a blast from start to finish

This post made me remember that awesome fucking feeling seeing World of Warcraft for the first time after playing wc3 and realizing you could BE someone in that universe as one of those races. It's a shame what happened though
