I don't see this game discussed much. Have you played it? What did you think of the story/characters? Did you relate well?
Is Mae fat?
>>376947752
>UGH! I'm such a tacos Trashfire
Wow, it is so relatable if you writing is shit but claim it is ironic
THE MATRIX WAS A GOOD MOVIE
>>376947752
I really loved the characters and plot, but I felt like the game was short and that the ending was a bit rushed, made me want more tho.GOTY IMO.
Seems like the kind of game that would do well with insecure failures between age 17 and 24
>>376949646
It's more for people who want to pretend they fit that group cause it is trendy
>>376947752
UGH
>>376949646
>>376949992
I think its funny that a realistic young female protag was written by two white men.
>>376950297
It was written by a man and a woman, Scott Benson and Bethany Hockenberry (Alec Holowka probably had some input though)
>>376948863
>MALE taking all those SCOOPS
>>376947752
Fucking adore this game, even if it does have one or two cringy sjw moments.
>>376950297
It painfully feels like someone wrote characters based solely on tumblr comments and not actual human interaction
>>376947752
It's ok.
>>376947752
>I'm meme trash UGH
>>376949646
But I thought /v/ hated this game!
>>376947752
It isn't even a game.
>>376950580
Be lucky you've never spent time with people like Mae irl.
>>376947752
>I don't see this game discussed much.
There are fucking threads all the time. One just yesterday.
Don't you know its past its shill by date? This game has passed its apex of popularity. Everyone knows its mostly shitty.
Why do you continue so?
>>376947752
At this rate i think you only post this game to shitpost and drop baits, nothing good even come from threads on this game
>>376950954
>nothing good even come from threads on this game
I agree, every single thread is a fucking shitposting fest, more than usual.
>>376950898
Neither have you, she is a bad caricature made for people who want to pretend they are a 20-something hipster
>>376950907
How'd you get that picture of Ryan Gosling?
>>376947752
It's pretty bad. Art direction and music are stellar, the game's designed to be the type to be carried by it's writing and characters but it's all dreadful. If they'd just made it some sort of dumb interactive pop-up book with just the music and visuals and no words ever and slapped the $20.00 price tag on that it would be a better product and a better game than what exists.
I like it a lot, yeah.
>>376948413
The game is pretty fucking relatable man, not because I talk like a fictional character that browses some kinda in-universe tumblr but because I'm also an early 20's washout just aimlessly drifting through life. If I had to pick one character I related to most it'd be Bea though.
STOP SPAMMING THIS GARBAGE ON /v/
EVERY FUCKING DAY IT'S THE SAME THREAD ASKING THE SAME THING
GO MAKE A FUCKING GENERAL ON /vg/
>>376950898
I have, they speak like Mae maybe like 10% of the time, not for every fucking sentence. It's a charicature that is more present online when people aren't as hesitant to act more extreme than face to face. Social interaction outside is significantly different.
>>376951479
>I'm also an early 20's washout just aimlessly drifting through life
>This character has the same background therefore they are completely relatable
I can tell you exactly why you have that life, you're a fucking moron
Similar background is not just what makes a character relatable, the actual writing does otherwise you are just forcing your ideas into the character
So what is this game like? Is it about hanging out with NPCs and getting comfy like inUndertaleor is it pretentious indie shit?

The first thing, but there's these 2 main characters that you have to decide who to spend time with, sorta like an s-link.
>>376947752
>Pirated it
>It's awful, psuedo-intellectual garbage masquerading as a "deep and unique" storyline
>>376950297
Wow you're the kind of faggot who looks these things up and talks about it.
>>376951946
>he doesn't understand what something being relatable is
>>376952542
The game never makes itself out to be intelectual or deep. It's just a story about a woman-child trying to hang out with her old friends.
>>376951946
If you think the only way to relate to a character is by the way they talk and not by the lives they lead then you might be a bit touched.
The game is pretty good. 4chan hates it because it makes them think of tumblr and it's pretty liberal.
It's a very funny game as far as I'm into and characters are good, dialogue is good.
>>376952970
>>376952996
You find the basic outline of a situation relatable, the situation of college drop out which encompasses a huge range of people. You want to find something that is relatable
You are the equivalent of someone finding some shitty nip dating VN relatable cause hey I went to high school once too.
>only way to relate to a character is by the way they talk
Yes writing is just the way characters talk, you sure are a smarty.
The game would be better as VN. The gameplay doesn't add anything and it's unnecessary, it's just barring you from continuing with the story. It'd be like having to input the Konami code after reading a page in a book to read the next.
The story itself is decent, but like Undertale you're either going to love the characters or hate them. I fucking hate Mae but you're supposed to empathize with her. She's a spoiled shit, she doesn't want to do anything with her life, she wants to drag everyone down to her level and she gets mad at her mom for bringing up the fact that she's lazy and basically put her whole family into debt twice - Once for beating up a kid in a fit of autistic rage, and twice to send her off to college, and her excuse is she just "didn't feel like it's where she belonged." Mae is a horrible character and a horrible person, but the game wants you to feel sorry for her and empathize with her. She's a terrible, shitty daughter and a shitty friend, she actively makes bad decisions, and she's never punished for it.
Then the story shits itself with the beyond retarded boomers vs millennials plot which boils down to "some people are useless and are detriments to society but that's okay!" No, it's not fucking okay. Mae is a shitty person and she will never not be a shitty person. Does she deserve to die? No. But she needs to be fucking whipped into shape and not have her shittiness and lethargy and childishness encourage like this game seems to be reinforcing.
This is a bad game with a bad story but with gorgeous visuals. Everything just feels like padding, I'd rather have all the text laid out in front of me so I don't have to spend 30 minutes running around town to get all the story, because running around adds nothing to my experience. After beating the game I quickly realized how shit the story is too - So not only is the game itself bad, but so is the story. There's no reason to play this.
GREGG RULZ OK
>>376956219
I'm dying. Please feed me more nitw memes.
>>376947752
I enjoyed it quite a bit. I really need to replay it through for gregg's storyline.
More like SJWs in the Woodwork.
>>376956956
Hahahah, simply ebin! Fuck fascists! xD
I feel like this is one of those games where /v/ goes out of its way to hate it because someone that worked on it has a political belief they disagree with or something.
It's not a perfect game, for example the ending sucks ass, but it's pretty solid if you're into "do nothing and hang out with people all day" games. Kinda feels like persona's more quiet moments in that sense.
It's garbage that's hardly a game, stop making these threads
Only good thing about NITW is the art.
>>376957671
>stop making these threads
Or what?
>>376957819
Who's the one on the left supposed to be? Don't remember them.
>>376958368
Bombshell, a girl Mae met briefly at Jackie's party and hit it off with
>>376957671
This thread will keep getting made as long as you keep replying.
THE MATRIX WAS A GOOD MOVIE
It's alright I guess.
Gregg rulz ok
>>376959927
Aren't they BOTH trannies now? The two dudes who made The Matrix.
>>376963139
Both of them. But it's totally not a choice, anon. :^)
>>376963467
I don't believe it is personally.
But that lends itself to more questions, don't it.
