Denuvo has never been cracked. This isn't a case of 'proper' or 'not proper'. It has NEVER been cracked. As in, removed. As in, no longer a problem. Denuvo has only ever been bypassed into being tricked into thinking the game is running legit. The DRM is and always has been what's underneath, in the case of Steam games (which is 90% of games) is SteamWorks DRM. That's been cracked for ages.

Denuvo would be vastly more successful in screwing over pirates if the update they did every time was done in conjuction with updating the DRM proper. If Denuvo and SteamWorks were developed in concert every time, then pirates would struggle as it would mean cracking SteamWorks on top of figuring out the new bypass for Denuvo.

Sadly t he ultimate thing is that pirates are

1. Keeping Denuvo in businesses. They're going to keep people hired to fix this and people will keep using them to make their products 'safe' with expensive updates

2. It's making Denuvo more and more aware of the bypass techniques that groups are using and making it generally easier to fix.

This isn't the days of SecureROM et al which claim to be unbreakable Day 1 out of the box and forever, this is a case of a company willing to update and fix problems on the fly and supplying companies with easy updates. There is a reason 90% of Denuvo games aren't bypassed; they're not worth the effort. They only become bypassed (if at all) months later when they're not really a problem.

So many groups are giving up on the bypass scene because it's just not worth it. Pirates are fucking cheap; if they wanted to spend money they'd buy the game. This means that, surprise surprise, bypass groups barely make ends meet with donations.

I kind of liked the idea of it it, but it was badly handled. The entire final part of the game felt rushed and sloppy, like they needed to get it out.

I liked the game though, and damn it was long, took me 24 hours to complete and I was running around like a madman by the end bypassing everything.
