nothing. it's one of the best "interactive movie" games of all time.

No rape scenes.

Psychology sessions didn't have nearly enough of an impact on the game world. Wasted potential there, should have been more like Shattered Memories.

All of these interactive movie games are shit because all of them fail at delivering their main promise: An extremely variable adventure.

In all of these games, there's either plot armor on the main characters, or the choices boil down to who dies and who doesn't. There's never anything like different pathways based on choices, in the best case you get ONE extra level which is also very small.

Ironic that a game foreign to the genre managed to do that better (the witcher 2)

Heavy Rain:

There's literally only TWO variants Until dawn can have:

Sam can get captured by the psychopath, in which case she will start her next chapter in a room that's a hallway away from her alternative position

Jessica can survive the "Kidnapping", in which case she will have a playable chapter at the mines, which lasts 2 minutes at most.
Alternatively if Matt survives, he can get the same chapter (its exactly the same but he's either alone or with Jessica)

Thats it

Those are the different paths you can get in the game, every other "variation" is just a character surviving or dying, but the levels will always be the same

Spent $17 on it, can't hate it at that price and it's great to put on when your drunk with friends over.

Don't forget some of the choices needed to save characters made no fucking sense.

In order to save Matt, you either need to refuse to help Emily when she's hanging from the railing (Most players wont do this on their first run, since they're probably going for a perfect run and it looks as if Emily will die if you don't help her)

OR

You need to have chosen to go back to the cabin after reaching the snow elevators (Which makes no sense because Matt is the one who suggests going to the watchtower, so most people won't walk away from that) and in the watchtower you must pick up and save the flare gun.

If you save the flare gun but didn't chose to go back to the cabin, Matt dies, and it's the biggest bullshit because there's literally no relation between the 2 actions, there's no extra animation or explanation or anything, if you didn't choose the cabin, the game simply gives you no option to defend yourself against the wendigo, that's a terrible design choice.

well, a group of friends tried to prank a shy girl and this led to a death which was yet another on top of the mountain's dark past and present history.

Absolutely nothing. It was pretty fun, except near the end when flamethrower guy walks in just to explain the plot and die 5 minutes later because they couldn't be arsed to write a proper ending for him.

Only one turned, the other was buried and then eaten. besides I don't think she turned in one or two days after falling. Should have taken at least 5 or 6 days before hunger hit her hard and dug up the grave.
