Persona 5 and SMTV might be both multiplat. Persona 5 is PS4 only so far because Atlus doesn't know how PC works yet, Xbone isn't the ideal platform for weeb games and Wii U flopped.

Time will tell if Switch is a good weeb platform but PS4 is a pretty significant platform for weeb stuff. Making games for PS4 is a good investment and perhaps Switch will be just as good but for now PS4 is probably a safer choice.

They explicitly stated that it was because the Switch version cost more for them to develop. This struck me as a bit nonsensical because it seems like the sort of thing that comes with the territory, but it may have something to do with card manufacture prices.

All that said, I just looked it up, and it turns out I was wrong about a few things. For one, the premium on the Switch version was actually $10, not $5. The other is that it was announced a few days ago that RIME's digital pricetag on Switch has been brought down to equal that of other versions. The boxed version is still $40, but the soundtrack has been added to it as a bonus, apparently.

It might be expensive to find, but SMT Nocturne is definitely worth the trip. It's considered the hardest SMT, but what the game lacks in animation/graphics, it makes up for some of the best aesthetics I've seen in a game. It's a really hard game to describe without playing it, but it's a visual masterpiece when you consider the various art styles and influences that went into the worlds and characters.
